Catholic Charities is seeking volunteers and donations to support 500 migrant boys, many of whom traveled more than 1,000 miles from beyond Mexico’s southern border to seek asylum in the United States. The boys range in age from 13 to 17.
Individuals interested in volunteering can find instructions and a link to register at Catholic Charities’ website (ccaosa.org/migrant-youth-support). Volunteers must be 18 or older and are required to complete a criminal background check and three online training modules.
