Visual Documentary 2/19/21: “9 to 5: Story of a Movement”

just wanted to invite you to the next Virtual Documentary Night on February 19th at 7 pm Eastern Standard Time. We will be discussing the documentary, 9 to 5: Story of a Movement. It’s about the labor movement that started with a group of secretaries in the early 1970s. Their goals were better pay, more advancement opportunities and an end to sexual harassment. The way the event works is we meet on zoom and I break everyone out into small groups of 4 or 5 for 15-20 minute discussions, with a discussion prompt. We do multiple rounds in different groups with different prompts, then end with a large group discussion. The event is very flexible, so people are free to come late and leave early if they want.
